[One More Brawl Taunts]

Under par

I have to say I was a little disappointed with this one. The animations were alright, the graphics were fine but the jokes were far more stale and overused. I think the only times I even smiled throughout this were the arrival of the Big Gay Dance running gag and the pikachu scene after the credits.

I was a big fan of Brawl Taunts flash, but.. I'd have to say this one just didn't measure up.

I enjoyed this one a good bit, though I'm not sure how you could improve it more due to the artworks fitting the mood already.

Well, either way, kudos, lookin' forward to the next one.

Voice acting top notch as per usual.
Animation fits proper with the movie.

Out of curiosity though did you actually win this local competition? Or was it like the opening movie of the festival?

Extremely Impressive

A stop motion animation that I could actually get into!

Ku-freakin'-dos man, that is something else.

This flash was not only well made, it was pretty damn funny too. Not hilarious, but it made me laugh out loud at least twice.

Perfect length for a short-film too. You should attempt to make more with other "levels". good luck to you.

Fantastic

This flash is a wonderful presentation of nostalgia for those who have been a part of Newgrounds for years such as myself, or a brilliant preview of some of the best flash movies and games that still exist amongst the greatest of flash portal.

The only things missing were a sample of LegendaryFrog's OLD work, the Super Flash Brothers and any of Egoraptor's brilliant work with the Awesome Series.

In any event, this was a great preview for the new and a brilliant reminiscence for the old.

Kudos.

Not to mention, I recall Tom's preference to the winners (video and game) long before the tank awards this year, so it wasn't surprising that it turned out this way.

Oh well.

The winners were still very well done and are worthy of the awards. Congratulations to them.

Enjoyable!

You have excellent sprite potential, worthy of Skittlez n Bitz. The Shoryuken bits were beginning to get old, but you managed to keep the joke alive by refreshing different elements each time it showed up, kudos. I didn't really understand the elevator scenes, they more or less confused me and lowered my final score for this. I would've probably given it a 9 if there was some fun that came out of those scenes, but they built it up like it was going to be something huge, but then he just does his thing in the closet and walks right back on it.
Anyway, great job, keep up the good work, I'll be looking for you.

[Renegade Awesome Episode1]

Has significant potential

I gotta say at first I was worried this was another mistake on the front page, but after watching it, I couldn't stop from grinning and a few chuckles here and there. The voice acting was top notch and the animation was decent.

In my opinion what may have made it funnier was more interaction/insults between renegade and the dad.

Anyways, good work, talk to some comedic peers on newgrounds and get some ideas on how to improve some humor so that you can move from good to great :)

It doesn't quite capture the "Awesome" series effect, mainly because the sound took away from the humor and the humor lost its momentum. The thing that makes the original "Awesome" movies successful is the constant arrival of jokes/surprises so that you barely get the opportunity to finish laughing about one thing before something else hits the fan.

You have potential, but this one falls in the middle ground. Keep up the practice and you'll have it in no time.

Considering I thought the flash itself was a wee-bit too fast, I'm willing to accept that the "Awesome" sub-genre simply isn't my forte.

I'm alright with that, though, considering my future projects will be very different from this. :D

The humor losing it's momentum was a casualty of faulty editing and rushing to meet deadlines, one out of a laundry-list of mistakes that I made and learned from working on this flash.

I can truly appreciate the blunt honesty of this review! If I can get a review this honest, and they STILL say I got potential, I'm not hopeless :D
